Color Guard

Color Guard is the most prestigious team in JROTC. We represent our program and our school at numerous events throughout the county by presenting the flag at events such as opening ceremonies, dinners for organizations and veteran programs. In the fall, our colors wave proudly on our home field every Friday night, as our football team prepares to take home another win. The Hurricane Battalion Color Guard also participates in parades throughout the year, marching in front of our battalion as we honor our veterans on Veteran’s Day or remember Martin Luther King during the MLK parade. Last year our male color guard placed first in our district, and the female color guard wasn’t far behind. This year we strive to attend the State Drill Meet and through our hard work and dedication, earn the title of state champion. Our Color Guard consists of four teams; two varsity (male and female) and two junior varsity (male and female). Since it is such a small team, only the best cadets are permitted to participate on color guard.
