Rifle Team
The Rifle Team is one of the most challenging teams in the JROTC program. The team shoots .177 caliber Crosman Rifles at 600 feet per second at targets no larger than a quarter. The team spends months training and polishing their skills to prepare for competitions. During competitions the Rifle Team is split into two teams, A and B team. Each team shoots thirty rounds into three different targets. The positions; prone, standing, and kneeling are very different. The prone position is the easiest position, standing is by far the hardest position, and kneeling is the medium difficulty position.
